Cards-that-Hit teaches the techniques that we use here in the Studio to craft our messages. These techniques move beyond basic correspondence to boost the impact of your words into the hit-zone of “your card meant so much!” The techniques apply to all cards and letters, so this workshop is an important tool for the heartfelt message-writer.
Why take this workshop?
If you’re already taking the time to write a card or letter, don’t you want the message to build a connection and leave an impact? If you don’t want to build relationships, pass on this class. If you want to learn to connect your thoughts and feelings through written words in a way that makes an impact: this class is for you!
One hour over zoom will move you through a series of writing exercises that will teach you strategies for connection. We’ll pause after each writing period to discuss our experience with the exercise.
Workshops are capped at 8 participants but can begin with as little as two people, so everyone benefits from group engagement.
Participants leave with a pdf of the curriculum and receive a blank letterpress card and stamp in the mail after the session. Participants chose their card after registration.
Do you want to write more meaningful cards and letters?
Do you want your recipient to feel seen and connected when they read your message?
This one-time writing workshop will provide all the tools necessary to do exactly that, and change your writing-life forever.
Workshops are held twice monthly (see below) but can be scheduled privately, if your group wants a specific closed session. Workshops are taught by the founder and Cardist herself, Mary-Alice, with over 20 years experience in this type of writing, over a decade in live comedy performance, and brushing 20 years in restaurant work - she knows how to connect with people.
$25 for writing strategies that will change your life is a deal you’ll want to share with your circle!
